FAQ
Below is a list of FAQs for each of the individual projects that we sell here at Nordic Lifting. Please take a moment to go through this list before inquiring – there’s a high chance you’ll find what you need. The list is categorized for each product in order to make your search a little easier.
1. Knee Sleeves
Q: What are "knee sleeves"?
A: Knee sleeves are flexible cloth materials made from neoprene that are worn over the knee. They give your knees support and comfort during workouts and other sports. Knee sleeves give knee compression that enhances blood flow, thus reducing pain and swelling after workouts. The compression provided by a knee sleeve should not, however, restrict movement in any manner. If a person has suffered a slight injury, these sleeves can come in handy.
Q: How do knee sleeves work?
A: Knee sleeves provide joint compression and support, as well as reduce swelling and strain on the knees, preventing damage while lifting and participating in high-impact sports. This reduces discomfort and swelling during and after a workout. Knee sleeves also aid in stabilizing and supporting weak or injured knees, as well as knees involved in sports activities that put stress on the knees.
Q: Why use knee sleeves?
A: Knee sleeves are designed to help protect your knees against new injuries as well as the worsening of previous ones. Simply put, the goal of a knee sleeve is to relieve pain. They aid in maintaining the knee during activity or avoiding discomfort and inflammation afterward.
Q: How to wash knee sleeves?
A: Always pay attention to your knee sleeve washing instructions. The majority of textile knee-sleeves can be machine washed but should be air-dried. On the other hand, neoprene knee sleeves are not made for machine washing. They should be hand washed with mild detergent and air-dried. If the odor becomes unbearable, you can soak them in hot water with vinegar for a few minutes. This will help to get rid of the unwanted smell.
2. Elbow Sleeves
Q: How do you wash the elbow sleeves?
A: We highly recommend that you hand wash the elbow sleeves. Soak them in water with detergent, rinse them, and then let them air dry. After that, you can spray them down with some fabric conditioner to make them smell better if there are odor issues. Rinsing is probably a safer option and will leave you with a longer lifespan of the product. And lastly, try not to wash the elbow sleeves too often as this can wear them out quickly.
Q: I’m in between sizes, what size would fit me best?
A: Please know that you can choose the size that our sizing chart recommends. If you want more compression and support, you may want to size down as long as it does not cut off your circulation.

A: Yes, they definitely are, however, we recommend that you hand-wash them to prolong the life-span of the product.
